Andy Pretswell Installed as New Club Captain

At last night's AGM, Chris Patterson handed over the reins to our new Club Captain Andy Pretswell and we congratulate Andy on his new role! A huge thanks to Chris for his hard work, commitment and leadership over the past two years.

Andy was an active junior member at Peebles in his younger days before returning to the club in 2014 when he moved back to the town. He has served on the committee since 2022 and has volunteered in other duties around the club, as well as being a regular competitor in our events (and an ever present on the range and short game area!).

Andy said: "We all have a collective aim for our club, somewhere where we can come and enjoy a round of golf on a first class course, something to eat or drink in a brilliant clubhouse, a thriving club at the heart of its community where the traditions of golf are upheld and foundations are laid to ensure a prosperous future for golfing generations to come."

We also welcomed Denise Richards as our new Vice-Captain, and Tony Farndon as the new Match & Handicap Convenor. Further details to follow in this week's members newsletter.
