Practice, Improve, Warm-Up or Learn at our Academy & Driving Range

With support from sportscotland, Peebles Common Good Fund, Clubsport Tweeddale, Scottish Borders Community Grant Scheme and Scottish Golf, the Club opened a superb new three-bay undercover driving range and a state-of-the-art PGA swing studio in 2017.  In addition, we offer two non-covered Huxley all-weather turf areas, as well as an excellent short-game practice facility with a green and a bunker.

The Practice Area and Academy is open to members, visitors and the general public, whether you’re looking to warm up before your round, improve your game with practice, take up golf for the first time or simply hit a few balls. Expert tuition is also available from our two Advanced PGA Teaching Professionals, Ailsa Murphy and Steve Johnston and PGA Trainee, Frankie Masson.

As the range is floodlit, it is open from 8:00am to 8:00pm during the golf season. Range tokens (40 balls per token) cost £3 for adults and £2 for juniors. Tokens are limited to 2 per person at a time. Range Cards can also be purchased offering fantastic value for keen golfers. The Pro Shop have an excellent offer on these:

• 10 credits for the price of 8 = £24

• 5 credits for the price of 4 = £12

Practice Area Annual Membership (Prices from April 2026)

• Adults: £120 per annum

• Juniors: £70 per annum

How does the season ticket work?

• An annual range membership entitles you to 30 credits per month. This works out at 1,200 golf balls or around 1 basket of balls per day per month! Unused credits cannot be carried forward to future months.  

• The annual membership is for the named member only and is strictly non-refundable and not transferable. Abuse of the process will lead to the membership being voided. 

• Annual members can use their membership card at the new ball machine between the hours of 8am and 8pm every day during the golf season. The hours will reduce slightly in the off season due to daylight changes. 

• Annual members should come into the Pro Shop at the start of each month to ensure their card is credited with the relevant monthly credits. This is the members responsibility to do so.
