The ninth is downhill all the way and generally downwind meaning this par five is often very reachable in two shots. There are fairway bunkers right and left catching slightly off line tee shots for shorter and longer hitters respectively, but two good hits set up a great birdie chance for a green that returns you to near the clubhouse.
Hole 10, Kitleyknowe, Par 4
The 10th looks longer than it plays. The tees shot is uphill then the hole flattens out before approach the elevated green. A good tee shot avoiding the right-hand bunker and trees sets up a short iron to a green guarded by its elevation and a front left bunker. Middle of the green is the safest play, don’t be tempted to attack the pin especially if it’s on the right side of the green.
