A very close match at Longniddry

Definitely an autumnal feel to this match but the weather was not as bad as the forecast suggested with very little wind and only one short shower of rain. Everybody enjoyed the hospitality shown by Longniddry with the catering being excellent. The course was also in very good condition despite the greens being a bit slower than expected. Results - Match 1 Peebles lost 1 down, Match 2 Peebles lost 2&1, Match 3 Peebles won 1 up, Match 4 Peebles lost 1 down, Match 5 Peebles won 4&3, Match 6 All square. Overall Longniddry 3.5 Peebles 2.5. A very close match with 4 of the games going to the last green before being decided and yet again like many of our away matches we narrowly lost out to the home team.
