Match report v Minto

With a recent change in the weather it looked like it would be rainjackets and trousers and umbrellas for the Minto match. However the rain forecasted only affected 2 holes but was replaced by a wind that got steadily stronger and was blowing over trolleys on the later holes. Despite this everybody enjoyed their round and remarked on how good the course was and afterwards on the quality of the catering. Most of the matches were really close although 2 were 6&5 victories for each side. Results - Match 1 Peebles won 2&1, Match 2 Peebles won 2 up, Match 3 Peebles won 6&5, Match 4 Peebles lost 6&5, Match 5 Peebles lost 2&1, Match 6 Peebles won 1up. Overall Peebles 4:Minto 2. Both captains are looking forward to the return fixture in September.
