End of season report

PEEBLES SENIORS’ TEAM 2026

The Peebles Seniors’ Team has just completed a very successful season.

Keith Ackerman captained the team for the first two matches but had to vacate the role for personal reasons. David Wright and Dave Forsyth took over and immediately undertook a recruitment drive for more players. This proved very successful with a total of 37 players representing the team this season!

The team played a total of 15 matches and won 8, drew 3 and lost 4 - an impressive record!
The catering team at Peebles provided excellent food and hospitality for our players and guests. As well as enjoying the superb condition of our home course the players very much enjoyed playing 7 away venues.

Our Club captain, Denise supported the team by attending home matches to welcome our guests and encourage our players. Stuart and the office staff provided essential admin to ensure all the matches ran smoothly. Most importantly however, a huge thank you must go to the 37 players who represented the team this season. You’re a great bunch of guys!

Plans are already underway to enhance and improve the organisation and running of the matches next season. We are always looking for more players to represent Peebles Golf Club Seniors. If you are 55 years old or older why not give it a go and join us next season?

David Wright and Dave Forsyth.
