Match report v Minto

After a 3-3 home draw earlier in the season we knew that the away match against Minto was going to be a tough encounter.

The co-captains, Dave and David led from the front and achieved a one hole victory. Similarly, Calum and Mike also won their game at the 18th to give Peebles a 2-0 lead.

Unfortunately the next 3 games all resulted in a win for the home team.

In match 6, the 2 Johns dug in deeply but could only achieve an honourable half point.

Overall result: Minto 3 and a half: Peebles 2 and a half.

Despite the result everyone enjoyed our trip to Minto. The course was in great shape and the hospitality before and after match was most convivial. Special mention must go to Alan who played in game one. He may not have won the golf but his homemade steak pies were excellent!
