TAMS recognise Steve Baczkowski’s 100th birthday in style!
/25 players played for the John Forsyth putter the result of which will be announced at the Xmas lunch on the 17th of December.
Next week will be a scramble for the last Trophy of the season.
The commemorative bench commissioned by the TAMS to celebrate Steve Baczkowski's 100th Birthday was accepted by Captain Denise on behalf of the club at a short ceremony beside the flagpole. Steve attended with his grandson Michael.
On the 8th of October Steve and members of his family were guests at a TAMS lunch in the clubhouse to mark his 100th Birthday. In welcoming the gathering Club Captain Denise recalled with some humour her teenage years when she worked with Steve and his wife Angela in the cafe which they had in the Northgate. A fitting tribute to Steve ,which was composed by David Wallace [now residing in Canada] ,was read out by George Langlands and was well received.
During the course of the lunch many happy memories and anecdotes were exchanged with much humour. By the end we all felt very much members of the extended Baczkowski family.
